Current Event: Populations
This is the news article from BBC NEWS: A squash and a squeeze
This article states so many problems about world population and how it is going to be in many years. If we keep going on like this, what would happen?
This basically tells us the estimates on the world's population. Charts and pictures are shown on the link. It is still mainly about England, but if you get the idea, you'll realize how endangered our world is. As some say, we are the cancer of our world. It just keeps getting worse.
Acrostic Poem
Swelling population, people are predicting the population of 2031
The UK's population estimate would be 75million by 2031
All are scared, because the power of population is stronger than the power of the Earth
The Earth will not be able to support all of mankind soon
In 1965, the UK population was being augmented by a much higher total fertility rate
Statistics show how wrong the scientists have been about the year 2001
The demographers have checked fertility rates and have seen that in the 1960s, the fertility rates dropped
I know that many are concerned about the environment, like Sir Julian Huxley
Challenges are yet to be overcome as our numbers increase
Struggles to cope with our surging population are still present
